8” x 1/2" Sewn Once 60 Ply Loose Muslin Cotton Buffing Wheel
Loose Muslin Buffing Wheels are designed to color, polish and finish with ease. The single stitch buffing wheel consists of layers, or ply, of muslin cotton cloth stacked together and affixed in the middle with one ring of stitching. Because of the central location of the stitches the muslin cloth becomes more loose and free the further flaps extend from the center of the buff to the outer edge. As such, these buffing wheels are very flexible and soft making them great for use on irregular shapes. The buffs are pliable while spinning and they tend to engulf the work piece, getting into all the nooks and crannies. Additionally, the softness and flexibility of these wheels makes them ideal for bringing out the highest luster on finishing and polishing applications. Loose cotton buffing wheel should be used with either White Diamond, Pink, or Blue Rouge buffing compound and are designed to be spun on a lathe, bench polisher, or on a drill with the proper mandrel.
8” x 60 Ply x ½” sewn once buffing wheels are 8 inches in diameter, have 60 discs of soft muslin cotton, and are attached together near the 1/2 inch arbor hole with a single circle of stitching. With a whopping 60 discs of muslin stitched together this buffer wheel provides two distinct advantages from its thinner counter parts. Firstly, the life span of the disc is considerably longer. Secondly, the thicker buffing area allows for superior surface contact to buff and polish with. MADE IN USA.
