| Description: | 25 In. x 48 In. Wide Sanding Belts feature Ceramic grains coated on premium Y-weight poly/cotton backing and fastened into a belt using a bi-directional, high strength butt joint. These 25x48 ceramic belts are close coat, resin on resin bonded which provides superior grain retention and reduces loading compared to other bonding methods. These ceramic belts also feature a grinding aid to further reduce loading and prevent heat buildup during use. 25 inch by 48 inch ceramic sanding belts are among the highest quality and longest lasting belts out there today due to their self sharpening and cool running capabilities. Ceramic grains have a fracturing characteristic which continually exposes new sharp edges to provide consistency throughout the useful life of the belt. The grinding-inducing additional layer decreases grinding temperature to protect both the belt and the material being worked out. Ceramic belts are ideal for use on nearly any metal but are specifically useful on metals which are heat sensitive or susceptible to contamination such as stainless steel, nickel alloys or cobalt alloys. Ceramic belts can last between 50% and 200% longer than the same belt made with zirconia or other abrasive grain. These 25" x 48" red ceramic belts are designed for abrasive planning, sanding, grinding, deburring, surfacing, and finishing on wide-belt sanders and are available in 36 grit, 40 grit, 60 grit, 80 grit, and 120 grit.
